| ReadWriteThink | Are you looking to spice up your Language Arts lessons? Check out this web site sponsored by the National Council of Teachers of English and the International Reading Association. It is a wealth of information broken into four sections: Lessons, Standards, Web Resources and Student Materials. Lessons within the site are organized by grade as well as Literacy Strand which include Learning Language, Learning About Language and Learning Through Language. All lessons include detailed plans in addition to worksheets and rubrics for projects. The Student Materials section is comprised of highly motivational, interactive lessons that can be completed in one computer class. Some of the lessons include Character Trading Cards, Shape Poems, and Story Maps, along with a plethora of organizer, writing aids and other cool interactive activities. |
